There are many types of tractor trailers, and their basic frame, body, and walking system are basically the same as trucks.
The side wall of tractor trailer are generally made of thin steel plates. Longitudinal concave prisms are punched out of the wall’s balustrades, and raised ribs are welded laterally to increase the stiffness of the carriage and reduce the quality of the wall. The floor of the carriage is generally made of wood and covered with thin steel plates, or use the iron-wood mixed structure bottom plate; the frame is usually made of 16Mn steel plate, welded or spliced by pressing and forming materials.
The longitudinal and transverse beams of the frame mostly adopt the groove interface structure, and the two longitudinal beams are arranged in the same width at the front and rear, so that the frame has better bending resistance.
The main beam, support beam and side beam of the frame are welded parts with box-shaped section and have large torsional rigidity.
The beam connecting the main beam extends to both sides and is an I-shaped welded structure with variable cross-section, which has high transverse bending strength.
A turntable mechanism for installing a balance suspension is arranged under each support beam to realize all-wheel of tractor trailer steering.
